Furthermore, being able to remind alumni, current students, faculty, and staff why HSU is important shows the value and essence of the marketing department. Kacie shared, “As marketers, it is our job to showcase all the amazing aspects of HSU, and it allows me to express my love for my alma mater continuously while sharing it with future generations.”

Kacie is grateful to God for guiding her path and leading her to where she is today. Thanks to His leadership, she chose a university where she would make lifelong friendships, obtain a fantastic education, and build a deeper relationship with God. Furthermore, Kacie is thankful to her mentor, Dr. Vicki House’ 01/’10/’22. “Vicki has shown me what a great leader is and how to work that into my position,” she explained. “Besides mentoring me through my job, she is constantly my biggest cheerleader.”

Kacie loves the people at HSU. From her freshman year to now, the people at HSU continuously showed her kindness and love, which motivated her to work hard, keep learning, get closer to God, and more. “One could say I love it so much that I haven’t left yet,” she jokingly said.

Kacie’s advice to current college students is to “trust God, pray, and step out of your comfort zone. HSU has so many opportunities for you to grow and prepare yourself for the real world. Look for those things and push yourself to them.”
